I have just moved in. Should I change the locks?
We strongly recommend it. You cannot know how many keys previous owners, letting agents or builders still hold. Changing or rekeying the cylinders on day one is inexpensive and gives you complete control of who can enter.
What does BS3621 mean and do I need it?
BS3621 is the British Standard most home insurers require for final exit doors. It certifies the lock resists common attack methods. We fit BS3621 deadlocks and explain which products keep your policy valid so a claim is never rejected.
Can you upgrade my locks without replacing the whole door?
In most cases yes. On uPVC and composite doors we usually only need to swap the euro cylinder for an anti-snap one. On timber doors we can add or upgrade a mortice deadlock without touching the door slab.
Do you fit anti-snap cylinders?
Yes, and we recommend them on every euro-profile door. Lock snapping is one of the most common forced-entry methods in the UK, and a good anti-snap cylinder defeats it for a modest cost. We carry a range of TS007 3-star rated cylinders.
Is there a call-out charge to come and quote?
No. We agree a fixed price over the phone or WhatsApp before we travel, and there are no call-out fees, travel charges or surprise extras added on your doorstep.
